Is the new Makeup Revolution foundation worth the hype?
So,for today’s blog post,I bring to you a review of the new Makeup Revolution fast base stick foundation.I know your all probably bored of seeing reviews on this foundation now but I mean come on,how can I not do a review of a foundation if it’s only £5 and it’s actually really good (spoiler)!
The foundation comes it 18 different shades, yes I repeat,it comes in 18 different shades all with different undertones!I mean,i have to say a big well done to Makeup Revolution for doing such a good job with the shade range as it seems to be quite a big problem with even high end brands! The foundation claims to quickly perfect, contour and highlight your complexion. The easy-to-apply stick formula melts into skin, blending seamlessly to leave a fresh and dewy finish.
When this foundation first came out,i was really prepared and I ordered it the day that it came out from Superdrug.I wasn’t too sure on which shade to get so I messaged Makeup Revolution on twitter and they said if I send them a selfie they will then match me to a shade. They matched me to the shade F6,which is actually a tiny bit too dark for me but I've made it work with using a lighter concealer with it.
When my parcel came through the post,I was so excited that I had to try it straight away! The first thing I noticed,as soon as I started applying it,was that it is quite an oily foundation. For me,this wasn’t that big of a problem as I have normal to slightly dry skin.
-The foundation would be best for normal to dry skin types, combination skin could maybe work too but I don’t think oily skin wouldn’t work well, maybe if you powdered your face really well but I guess it would be a bit of a hit or a miss.
-The foundation blends out really nicely.
-For me,the best way to apply it is with a beauty blender
-It starts to kind of slide off your face after about 7 hours of wear.
-It is a very dewy foundation.
For my final verdict,I will say that the foundation is definitely worth giving a go as it is only £5 and I think it is worth the hype,I will definitely continue wearing it however I will have to make sure to use a long lasting primer or setting spray with it.
I hope this post has helped some of you out if you are thinking of buying this foundation.
Thank you,
